This cushion is 15g. (Without refill). SPF 50+/PA+++.It comes with 2 choices of color: #21 Light Beige and #22 Pink Beige.
Since my skin tone is quite fair, so I'm choosing the #21 Light Beige.
It provide moisture and flawless coverage at the same time.

The amazing things and the first time I saw on the cushion that difference with other cushion brand is that April Skin having the double cushion, that's mean the cushion real look a bit curve up, it's to prevent moisture from evaporating.

Alright, now I'm trying the cushion on my hand:

My point of view
The packaging is just a so so. It's a black plastic cover.
The price is a slightly high, 28USD without refill, and 38USD with refill.
April Skin actually is not a well known brand example like Sulhwasoo or Laniege at Oversea. So the price range for me is a slightly high.
The smell of the cushion is a bit strong.

Good things is the slightly curve up cushion is impress me.
And the result after I applied on my face was fascinating. It's totally bright up my face and the coverage is good. Be careful when choosing for the right cushion tone for your skin. For me, Light Beige is little bit fair already.

It's definitely a worth try cushion for those who want the fastest flawless coverage. Just a few puffs and it will cover almost my face's pores.
My daily working routine will be like stay in air-conditional environment for a long time (working place) and only expose to sun while going to lunch. So, the coverage can be up to 6 to 7 hours.
My skin is combination skin type. This cushion is not too oily or neither dry for me.
Overall, it's a good cushion. I will totally recommend it to who want the fastest flawless coverage (will it a bit over? hehehe)

Hi do you wear Hera or laneige cushion? Wish to know if April skin #21 will be too light to Hera #c21? Or Laniege #21?

DeleteI used Laniege BB cushion #21 Natural Beige before. Yes, April Skin #21 is a bit lighter than Laniege #21. Since the April skin #21 is light beige, if you want the natural tone, then maybe you can choose Natural Beige. But so far, i still can accept April Skin #21. It won't make the face looks like vampire! Don't worry. Hehehe (Just kidding)

ReplyDeleteHmm.. well, here's my tips. If you feel like your face look too pale after applied the cushion, try some mist on face. It can eventually natural the face and tone down a little bit. It even makes the makeup stay on even longer a bit. It works for my face. But it just my tips. Hehehe.. I'm not sure this one applied to everyone.
DeleteAnd you can control on how heavy of the tap from puff on the cushion, and adjust on face eventually.
I don't know your skin tone so i can't really suggest which color might suit you. I'm sorry :'(

I am combination skin type, and easily get acne when my body heat is up. So I'm currently using the Innisfree Bija Trouble skin care toner.
Remember do the double cleansing! :D

DeleteOverall, I can said that actually the black version is more suitable in Malaysia. White version will be more moisture and you might feel the stickiness on face. Coverage for both cushion more or less is the same, but I still prefer the Black one.

As I was browsing the above products at 11street, some of the reviewer said that they have some doubts about the originality of the products. Someone posted that he/she buy the magic stone from 2 different seller and he/she received 2 different size, one is big and another one is smaller.
I tried to google on how to find out which one is original and fake, but it didn't came out at all. So I tried to find someone who do reviews and I saw your post.

As so far, this black cushion is suitable for my combination skin. And from the website, it state as good for Oily/Combination skin type so i think it will be suitable for you if compare with the white cushion.
This black cushion is working fine, it didn't cause acne on my face. So far so good. But I always do double cleansing during night routine.
My suggestion is that maybe you can use loose powder after you applied any cushion? So your face won't get too oily after some hours.

Hello! How long does the magic cushion last? Ive used it for 5 days and i never pressed too hard to the cushion so it will last for a month. But i think now its finished already. Just curious
ReplyDeleteHi :D I been to vacation and sorry for the late reply. I didn't pressed hard to the cushion. So mine cushion last about like 3 months. When you feel the surface cushion almost finish, you can use a wooden stick to get the cushion up and change to the back surface. You can use it again roughly about a month again :D.

Cushion will let your face look more natural than the liquid foundation.

DeleteApril Skin cushion will give you a matte finished look. But when we are sweating, our face will produce oil and it will give our face looks a little bit shimmering. It won't melt under the hot sun. It's because of the special invent air puff and the cushion foundation.

Hi, I am using no.13 for laneige bb cushion ; no. 21 laneige & hera bb cushion colour tone is kind of dark for my skin so I usually stay away from products if there is no number #13 shade but I would like to try April skin product. DeleteAh. Yes, for April Skin #21, is for the most light skin tone. They only available for 3 types currently, #21 Light Beige, #22 Pink Beige and #23 Natural Beige.
So if you are using #13 for Laneige BB, then i think #21 shouldn't have any problem. :D

Well, everyone has the different view of the primer and makeup base. Go through some research or review on the type of primer/makeup base. Analyze which one the suit your skin best. I hope you can find the best one. :)

DeleteYes, sometime I put loose powder too after I applied cushion. If you wish your foundation stay on longer then you can applied loose powder, it's oil control for your face. Loose powder will lead to a little bit matte.

1. Primer and makeup base are function as a screen protector between your face and all the makeup. You can search through the internet for more information. Normally the reason i use both is because primer/makeup base able to oil control and if your makeup base has the color, it can able to control your skin tone. The following makeup will be more easier to apply. Blur powder can be react as loose powder, so it can apply last. Primer/makeup base i mentioned here are the liquid base.
2. Yes, the black version is main for normal/oily skin type.
3. I'm using the #21, since your skin is quite fair, i will suggest you use #21. If you wish your skin look more pink-ish, then you can choose #22.

DeleteI'm not sure about that either. As you know Korean's cushion tend to more fair skin. I saw some comments on people complaining that korean cushion dark shade is not lean to dark and yellowish tone at all. :(
